11.5.43994 BUG: recognizing external drives

Thread needs solution

I found a bug in version 11.5.43994 running Windows 10.

If you plug in an external drive, Acronis will not see the drive until you restart the MMS service.
Not sure if it is related to the new Acronis version or Windows 10 because I just upgraded recently. But I know this issue was not there on the previous version (11.5.43956) running Windows 7.

Forgot to mention. Windows sees the external drive fine when it is plugged in. Just Acronis does not recognize the drive until the MMS service is restarted. And yes, Acronis was reinstalled by an Acronis tech remotely for this issue. Still there. It is definitely a bug, but the work around is to restart the MMS service after the external drive is plugged in.

Just to let everyone know.
This is now a reported bug. Tech support is trying to come up with a fix. Nothing yet.

I restored my system back to Windows 7 and the Acronis version is up to date (11.5.43997) and this issue does NOT exist in Windows 7.
So this is a Windows 10 issue.
Please fix it Acronis

I am currently working on this now with Acronis tech support # 02550174
Please refer to this case when checking the status.

This was exactly the case I was checking. Most likely we'll need more information from your machine. Namely SnapAPI logs.
You'll get further instructions via email from the support case.
