AB 11.5 For PC - Serial not compatible with WHS????

Thread needs solution

Hello

Well I'm very VERY angry.
I have been using a trial version of Acronis Backup for PC 11.5 (NOT Advanced), and it worked well on my Windows Home Server 2011.

So I decided to buy a key as the trial periode expired.
So logically I bought, guess what, an Acronis Backup for PC 11.5 license (NOT Advanced), yes, crazy not?

And what do I see? It doesn't want to activate the software... because the license is not compatible with the OS.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME§§§

What the hell, why does Acronis Backup for PC 11.5 (NOT Advanced) can be installed on WHS 2011 if it can't be activated with an Acronis Backup for PC 11.5 (NOT Advanced) key?!?

And by the way, I passed hours to understand the differences between all the software versions you have (well it seems I missed the OS support...), why are your product page filled of marketing crap instead of usefull, clear informations and comparisons charts.

I'm really pissed off...

There are two Acronis Backup installer binaries -Advanced and Not Advanced. Built-in trial key allows installation of all licensed components on all operating systems. You may try to exchange it for True Image 2014, which supports it - https://kb.acronis.com/content/14879 - if you don't want to pay $900 more for Acronis Backup for Windows Server. (which doesn't support it too. It may install but something happens support won't be able to help)

Acronis True Image 2014 WHS support is a joke (at the limit of the honesty I would even say) Why?

Because ATI doesn't save file metadata on a separate file. Thta mean if you change the file/folder user sharing settings of x TB data for instance, ATI will backup those x TB completely again even if it is an incremental backup, really it's a joke since WHS is an OS which main purpose is file sharing....

I tested/bought Acronis Backup because they adviced it on this forum...

How can I remove the license associated to my account so that I can resell the license? (And get rid of Acronis products and it supid marketing product segmentation)

Hello Mr. Hulk,

according to our licensing policy we don't remove any registered licenses but can move it to a new account.

It means that you or the person who puchases your license can contact our support with confirmation and inform us where we should move the licnese.

Thank you.
