ABR 11.5 - Can't add machines to AMS. Backups failing on Server.
I am having multiple problems with ABR 11 and and now 11.5
I gave up on 11 because backups would never complete on the server or the workstations. I've now installed ABR 11.5 after having uninstalled all of 11 and run the abr_cleanup.exe tool. You'll see down below what my configs are.
Problems:
1) From the AMS Server, I cannot add workstations to AMS. I always get authentication failures no matter what combination of username/password I use (domain admin credentials, local admin credentials, etc...). I've made sure that the domain admin account is part of the Acronis Remote Users on the workstations. I've followed the steps in the following KB articles:
http://kb.acronis.com/content/32272
http://kb.acronis.com/content/30461
2) After I installed 11.5, I ran a full backup locally to a USB external drive, and an incremental to Acronis Online storage. Both worked flawlessly. The next day, the scheduled backup didn't run at all. Subsequent manual attempts fail.
I don't mean to whine, but I just need this software to work. It shouldn't be this difficult to get backups working. I spent a lot of money on this software and am becoming increasingly more irritated with it. Thanks in advance for your help.

Can you connect to the machines directly using these credentials? As you have console installed on them , can you do the same using the locally installed console? May be domain admin is not a member of local sdministrator or have some privileges (like logon remotely...) disabled there. You can also try to adding machine to AMS by running console locally and change machine management type to centralized in 'machine options'.

dev-anon, you are the man!
Yes I'm able to connect to the machines directly (but only with local admin credentials). Domain Admins AD group is part of the local administrators group on the workstations. Your suggestion about connecting directly, going to machine options, and changing the management type to centralized worked!
Now I just need to figure out what to do about backups not working properly.

I am having similar trouble adding some workgroup machines to an AMS machine running ABR11.5 on a AD domain. The workgroup machines have ABR11 installed and were able to get licenses from the AMS machine. When I try to add them either from the AMS machine or connecting directly, I get the failed error below.
