ABR 11.5 not functional - multiple issues
Here is my setup: Proliant DL360 G5, 32GB Ram, dual cpus, 7 TB SAN storage. Running Windows 2008 R2.
I was running ABR 10.0.13762 on another server. I installed ABR 10.0.13762 on the new server and migrated the licenses. I then upgraded that version to the lated 11.5 build.
Here are the issues:
1) Backups do not run. If I select the "back up now" option the job will sit at 0% for eternity. I can stop it but if simply says job was completed. The vault is at 0 bytes.
2) There is no logging of any sort.
3) Scheduled backups do not run. I created a backup plan and a group. Applied the backup plan to the group and scheduled the 5 machines to be backed up started at 1:00a.m. Three of the five machines show as having had a successful backup. The other two I have no clue, there are no error messages or logs. The vault where this group is to be backed up to shows as 0 bytes. This volume is 1.5TB and has nothing on it. The manager shows continual communication with the clients.
4) Remote install is hit or miss. I can select machines to have a client installed. This succeeds about 15% of the time. I get an unsearchale error code. There is no firewall as the Acronis server is on the same subnet as the machines I am backing up. The ports are communicating (no windows firewalls enabed). DNS names resolve correctly and I have verified the admin$ is there.
That is is for now. I went to 11.5 because immediately after upgrading from .12703 to 13762, Acronis was not stable at all.
Should I just stick with 12703 for now? Any suggestions? I tried reinstalling. Is there some magic switch I missed that I need to flip to get acronis to start doing backups?

The agents and core are at version 11.5. I have run repair installs with no issues and rebooted. Should I just delete everything and install straight from version 11.5?

Before you try that, just check that ABR11.5 is using an 11.5 serial, it might have picked up the ABR10 serial and is trying to use that. I had that problem when using the licence server it registered all the serials OK, but would only take the v11 one form the pool. That was solved by selecting change serial number under the help tab and manually adding the 11.5 serial to it.

What is your configuration? You mentions 'server' and its upgrade from 13762 to 11.5. Probably it has AMS installed or other components too? What about clients, what version do they have have?
Then
I created a backup plan and a group. Applied the backup plan to the group
If you connect directly to the two problem machines, did the plan get deployed there? Can you run it manually? Is there anything in their logs?

The Acronis server here runs the licensing and acts as the AMS. Right now it has the latest 11.5 build. I tried an upgrade from 10.0.13762, but the current build was a fresh 11.5 install. I am getting the same results.
It does not matter whether the server I am backing up has never had acronis, had an older 10 client, or was wiped of 10 and had 11.5 client put on there. I have only had one successful backup. The scheduled backups do not run.
I am contacting support and will report back if they see anything I did wrong. Otherwise I will drop back to version 10 for the time being.
