ABR 11.5 Server "The Data is Invalid" installation

Thread needs solution

I am attempting to install ABR 11.5 after being advised by one of the phone support team that there is no support for 11 any more. Obviously expecting it to be simple given that all your customers will be upgrading, I uninstalled 11. The data backup operation we run is fairly critical, so timescale is important. When installing 11.5, I receive an error towards the end of the 'Agent' installation, which basically says " "Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5 Agent for Windows
Code: 013
Line tag: 0xc1180c75befcee65
Message: The data is invalid
"

It then rolls back just that installation and does not proceed.

I previously did the ABR cleaup utility but retained the ASZ, perhaps this could be related.

I'm not very happy and really need to get this sorted ASAP.

Server 2008 r2 enterprise

any ideas would be appreciated, if this isn't sorted within 24 hours I'll be looking at alternative solutions.

Hello Will,

Thank you for testing Acronis software.

Please accept my apologies for the late reply.

I am sorry to hear, that you cannot install Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5. Unfortunately, your message is not clear enough to investigate into your issue. When installation fails, you are able to view the log and save it. That installation log is essential for analyzing your issue.

Normally using the Cleanup Utility for Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 should delete all from your system. However, there is a known issue. Execution of Cleanup Utility does not clean up your system, when not started as administrator.

That means, you go to Start -> type cmd -> right-click on the result “cmd” and choose -> run as administrator. Then navigate to the cleanup utility and start it again. I do not recommend restarting the server, but suggesting doing it.

Finally, I want to inform you, that we always accept support request for trial products. You are able to open support requests at our support. Find more information about your options to contact support in our Customer Handbook.

Thank you.
