Acronis Backup 11.5 Error after Removal

I downloaded and installed Acronis Backup 11.5 last week on a non-networked Windows 2000 computer used in our test system. Then I attempted to remove 11.5 using the Windows 2000 control panel Add/Remove Programs. At some point a message was displayed stating something along the lines of not being able to access something and gave me the option to ignore or cancel. I chose to ignore and continue. Later when I went to shutdown the system I got the "DRIVER_POWER _STATE_FAILURE" Blue-Screen-Of-Death. The same error appears every time I restart or shutdown the computer. What steps must I take to resolve this?

You can use cleanup utility - http://kb.acronis.com/content/35521 . It may be dangerous and render your system unbootable, so back up the system using the bootable media before you proceed.
