Acronis Backup Advanced 11.5 for PC problem

Thread needs solution

I just ran my first backup using a boot disc that was created from the Acronis Backup Advanced PC_11.5_43994_en-US.iso file.

I need to create a disc image that can be restored on the same hardware.

I backed up my HP laptop as a test.
I booted from the Acronis Backup Advanced for Pc disc and saved the backup on an external drive.

When the backup completed I ended up with the following files in the root directory on the external drive:
2ABBEBD9-578F-4965-9CBE-544CB3443600.lck - 0 KB
2ABBEBD9-578F-4965-9CBE-544CB3443600_backup.lck - 0 KB
Archive(1).TIB - 152,149,795 KB
Archive(1).xml - 3 KB
meta_info.lck - 0 KB

These results do not seem correct.
What results (files) should I be getting?

Thanks,
Charles

Hello Charles,
This additional information ('metadata') makes for fast and convenient operations with backups. Don't worry about it and do not remove it.
How to make sure a backup is successful:
1) You should be able to select this backup for validation or recovery (working both in the console or in boot disc).
2) Validation of the backup must be successful. http://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/AcronisBackup_11.5/i…
3) The ultimate way to check is to recover the backup to a spare disk or to a virtual machine. http://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/AcronisBackup_11.5/i…
