Acronis Backup Advanced 11.7 Bootable ISO backup all Paging file and Hibernate file

Thread needs solution

I tested in Windows 7 Pro and Windows 10 Pro, both OSs with: "Paging file" and "Hibernate file" mode is ON

When I used:

- Acronis Backup Advanced 11.7 Bootable ISO (several build, also included current build 44421)

- Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5 (build 43994)

To backup full OS partition, I found difference is that:

+ Acronis Backup Advanced 11.7 Bootable ISO backup all Paging file and Hibernate file

+ Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5 (build 43994) didn't backup Paging file or Hibernate file in the same PC ("Paging file" and "Hibernate file" mode is ON)

I think, maybe Acronis Backup Advanced 11.7 Bootable ISO has mistake in backup mode with "Paging file" and "Hibernate file"

One more difference in backup file size, if turn "Paging file" and "Hibernate file" mode is OFF, when backup full OS partition in the same PC (same partition, same condition, choose no compression when making .TIB file), details is that:

+ Backup file size by Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5 (build 43994) is smaller than by Acronis Backup Advanced 11.7;

+ Backup file size by Acronis Backup Advanced 11.7 is larger than actual size in partition (Used space number in Partition Properties windows), lager about 300 MB

+ Backup file size by Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5 (build 43994) is equal actual size in partition (count by GB)

P/s:

Sorry for my bad english.

Hello Long Nguyen,

Thank you for your posting! According to my colleagues from development team no changes were made in this respect to the bootable media of 44421 compared to 43994. We will check it in our environment and provide results.

Thank you,

Hi Ekaterina Surkova,

I uploaded Acronis Backup 11.5.43994 ("B11543994") and Acronis Backup Advanced 11.7.44421 ("BA11744421") ISO files for you to check.

I love Acronis very much, this is only small thing i can do for Acronis.

One more error i found in Acronis Bootable Media (from build 43994 upto 44421) is Universal Restore function. In windows 8, 8.1 and 10, when checked Universal Restore function in recovery Windows, after finished and restart comperter, sound hardware had error, speaker icon in taskbar has yellow mark (yellow exclamation point), and you can not install the correct sound driver for sound hardware.

Uninstall and re-install sound driver in Device Manager could not solve this problem.

One solution i tried to solve this problem is:

"In “RUN” window “Open” box,  type: services.msc
Look for the Windows Audio servicein the list and see if the Status is: “Started”. If not, right-click Windows Audio, select Properties and set the Startup type to Automatic. Restart your computer and check your audio card"
