Acronis Console GUI locks up when I try to open Personal Vault

Thread needs solution

Last week, I was successfully running scheduled backups and was able to create and delete Personal vaults. Our Personal Vault is located on a NFS drive on the network. The GUI hangs when the Personal Vault is accessed in the Acronis Console. I see "Loading" under the free space column. I am unable to click to another screen, or do anything when the GUI enters the state.

We are using Linux, and I have installed these three applications:

  • AcronisBackupAdvancedAgentL64_11.7N_44190_en-US.x86_64
  • AcronisBackupAdvancedMConsoleL64_11.7N_44190_en-US.x86_64
  • AcronisBackupAdvancedMediaBuilderL64_11.7N_44190_en-US.x86_64

In an attempt to resolve this, I have deleted all data in the Personal Vault (outside of Acronis), uninstalled Acronis, and then re-installed these three applications.

Following re-installation, I cannot create a Personal Vault. The GUI will hang up and be unresponsive, as well as making the rest of my Linux desktop unresponsive. The Acronis Console will read "Loading" underneat the free space column, and nothing happens even after waiting a very long time.

Any ideas?

Hello Neil,

Welcome to Acronis user forums! There have been several new revisions published in the last months, so I'd recommend you to download and install the lastest build version, which is N_50214_en-US.x86_64 for your product. Here you can find release notes. If the issue persists on the new build, please check if all prerequisits are met (Refer to the following article for more details.) and if it's possible to access a new NFS-share on the same and different location (shares shouldn't require authentication).

Are there any SMB shares on the same device? Does the issue persist when you disable SMB shares if any? Does the issue affect only personal vault on NFS or every time you try to specify NFS share as a target location (for centralized vault, simply type the path in the backup plan)?

Thank you,
