Acronis Hanging Disk Management

Thread needs solution

Good Evening,

I just installed Acronis for Windows Server and upon completion of installation, two things occur: (1) When opening Acronis and attempting to set a backup schedule, the program hangs on 'Loading Disk;' and (2) when opening Disk Management, this also hangs. Upon uninstalling Acronis, everything goes back to normal, (can access disks in Disk Management.) Any ideas on a fix? Some additional information on the server:

Brand new Dell PowerEdge R320 running Windows Server 2012 R2;
Domain Controller;
Trend Micro Worry-free installed;
All Windows Critical Updates are to date;
All Dell drivers are to date;
Broadcom Suite was uninstalled - from initial research, I read this could cause issues with the Acronis Managed Machine Service;
Windows Server Backup runs without issue - reinstalled the feature once I uninstalled Acronis to obtain a full backup.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
LJ

Hello LJ,

This is probably a conflict with our low-level disk driver. This can have a number of causes, including other third-party disk or backup utilities, problems during installation, Windows problems, hardware conflicts or something else.

As such, there is no single solution that is guaranteed to work and I would recommend creating a support ticket to get this investigated.

Thank you.
