Acronis Managed Machine Service keep stopping

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I'm evaluating acronis backup 11.5 for our clients and I'm currently trying a setup on a single machine but I can't go past this issue.

This is the setup: clients are in a domain, so I created a new user for acronis to use, called it "acronis agent user" and added this domain policies 

  • Log on as service
  • Adjust memory quotas for a process
  • Replace a process level token

 for that user.

Then I moved on the client and lunched the installation, I selected the user I created and installed. When acronis starts it tells me that Acronis Managed Machine Service it's not available and entering the services console and starting it manually its useless since it just stops right after it started.

Check on google and this forum and it seems to be quite some problem with that service, but reading the documentation I guess that I take all the steps correctly. I've checked the rights of C:\ProgramData\Acronis folder and the user has full control. Obviously the user I'm logon with on the client is a Domain User with no admin rights but the acronis user should be ok.

I guess that a normal installation with self created local user would work perfectly fine but that just doesn't suit the security level that I need.

I'm evaluating this software for our clients and if someone from acronis has some solutions this would be much appreciated, or if I have to open a ticket let me know.

Hello Mauro

Thank you for your posting! Please make sure that the user account for Acronis Managed Machine service is granted with all following privileges, including the full access to the registry keys and local administrator role on the protected machine. I would also try to re-install the Agent with the default user account and check if the issue persists.
