Acronis Stuck

Thread needs solution

Backup freezes at 14%. Uninstalled Acronis Management server
Reinstalled the Agent on Server
Server is running Server 2012 R2. Will always freeze at 14%
It will timeout and show as backup OK
No error in logs

Backups worked fine for a while, this just started and wont seem to go away. No changes or software has been added to the server being backed up or server management

Hi Mauricio,

Thank you for your posting! I'll be glad to help!

It seems, that the issue is related to the snapshot creation. A file-level snapshot is created with 15% and a disk-level snapshot with 21%. Could you please check following to isolate the root cause:

  • check connection to the backup storage; if you use a remote-storage, try backup to the local drive.
  • check backup without VSS; If backup without VSS works fine, please refer to the following article to resolve the issue with the Volume Shadow Copy Service.
  • check the log files: connected to the Agent navigate to Log -> Events.  If there are some errors, please post here the exect error message or warning.
  • check the rights of the user for Acronis Managed Machine service.  It should be granted the following rights: Log on as service, Adjust memory quotas for a process, Replace a process level token.
I'am looking forward to your response!
