AMS 'ghost' machines and missing virtual machines after upgrades

Thread needs solution

Hi

We have a number of machines setup managed by AMS.

We have upgraded all of the machines to the most recient version of 11.7, some we could do through AMS push installation some wouldn't install for some reason so we uninstalled and reinstalled manually.   This has led to two issues:

1. we have two instances in AMS of a machine which we manually uninstalled and then push installed. if we try to delete the grayed out one we get teh following error:

Code: 20,250,646(0x01350016)
LineInfo: 0x8D165E86FB819666;

Module: management_server_vs_50058
Message: Failed to handle the event.

Code: 8,650,756(0x00840004)
LineInfo: 0x881FF98A29A31499;

Module: management_server_vs_50058
Message: Failed to handle the event.

Code: 11,599,876(0x00B10004)
LineInfo: 0xAE46831203E4D2D3;

Module: management_server_vs_50058
Message: Cannot find a managed entity with ID 'ADFC498F-C6A4-AF0B-0476-277362346360'.

2. A Hyper V server is only showing 1 of the 4 Virtual Machines that it hosts in AMS but if we connect to the Server itself all are visible.

Any advice would be greatly welcome.

Kind REgards Simon

Hello Simon,

Run AMS Troubleshooting Script on the machine where Acronis Management Server is installed. When executing the script use the parameter -fix:all). The script should detect the orpahned entries in the AMS database and remove them - after that you should be able to delete the duplicate machine.
