AMS server log size on management server

Thread needs solution

I would like to know how to change the Acronis management server log location of c:/ProgramData/Acronis/AMS/Logs on my management server (AMS)

As i've notice these can take up a lot of space, I would like to know how to edit the registry to point this to another Drive, I see from the KB articals you can do this for the catalog on the ams server.

Does anyone know if you can limit the size this can grow, as I walked into a installation with a 75gb logfile that filled up the O/S volume?

Hello Matt,

The log retention rule can be set as described ib here: http://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/AcronisBackup_11.7/#…

If you want to keep these logs on a different drive, you can create an NTFS junction point as a workaround.

Thank you.

Thanks for the response Igor,  but this setting in your reply is for the reporting database not the txt file found in the AMS folder ***date_log.txt,  On the AMS server.  I really would like to move the location this writes to so as not to bring down the AMS server as the O/S disk is filling up.  see attached ss

Many thanks..

Hello Matt,

This log should never get this large under normal cirucmstances unless debuging logs are activated. Please make sure that they are not activated by following the instructions here: https://kb.acronis.com/content/43370

If they aren't, could you open one of the large log files and check what is being written? I believe that there should be an error of some sort that is being spammed in the logs.
