Backup Failing - unable to rename file to .tmp

We are getting an odd error every night during one particular client backup. The log entries state "Failed to rename file 'Archive_name(1)' to '.tmp file'. The entries are below.
The odd thing is that if we run the plan manually the next day, it finishes without a problem and both the manual backup AND the nightly automatic backup now appear in the archive.
