Acronis Backup & Recovery for Windows Build 11.0.17438
Backing up to a shared folder on a server.
It's been working for years now all of sudden I am having issues.
The latest issue is the backup fails with Error
Task information "Failed with error" click on show log "There are no items to show in this view.

The last failure I had a few weeks ago the logs below.
ProtectCommand: Failed to execute the command.
Additional info:

If I need to update this version why don't I get a message or recommendation pop up or something.
It seems stupid that it just throws errors and you spend a lot of time troubleshooting when it really should just say "Please update your version of Acronis".
I am also having trouble with ABR11 with other clients. Backups not truncating "Oldest backups not getting deleted". Using retention rules. So the hard drives are filling up and I have to log in and manually intervene, troubleshoot. Using retention rules oldest backups are not being moved to another location.
Again the backup drives are filling up so the backup stops requiring user interaction.
This used to be a great product. What happened?

Hello Sean,

The earlier versions of Acronis Backup and Recovery 11 did have a bunch of stability issues, so I would definitely recommend updating to the latest versions of Acronis Backup 11.5.

Concerning your error -- the "URI is empty" error usually means one of the paths in the plan is somehow invalid. The quickest solution would probably be to recreate the backup plan (same source and destination).

Thank you.
