Backup to NFS share on EMC data domain

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I got problem when running backup on a linux host to NFS share on my DD.

When creating centralized vault on Acronis Management Server (AMS), it keeps prompting for credential but for NFS, there is no credential needed.

If direct the linux host has successfully mount to the NFS share. I've verified that we using Chmod 777.

The issue is when a sub directory created by Acronis software in the /mnt/acronisbkup E.g. /mnt/acronisbkup/DB1 it can’t be written.

From the backend, I tested with a non-root user and I can’t write to the DB1 directory.

I’ve just tried to chmod 777 /mnt/acronisbkup/DB1 and I manage to get to write successfully.

However, the folder mnt/acronisbkup/DB1 was created using the Acronis Software.

It seem like problem accessing the file or folder after creating it.

Anyone has successfully backup linux to NFS share in DD?

Thanks!

Hi Bryan,
first of all please check this article https://kb.acronis.com/content/48020 and specify the folder path in the following format: nfs:///:/
If it doesn't help, please share screenshots of your steps while creating vault and accessing vault (showing which path and credentials are used).
Make sure that when creating a vault you input the credentials of the user with permission to mount shares (e.g. the same user you used for checking).
Thank you,
