Backup schedule - Full and incremental with retention

I'm trying to find out how retention works with full and incremental backups.

I got the following setup:

Full backup: Saturday at 00:00 every week
Incremental backup: Every day at 20.00
Clean up archive: After backup - Age: Backups older than 1 week (Delete the oldest backup/Retain backup..)

My question: How do I know if the retention rule deletes my only full backup after 1 week?

Retention rules never delete the only backup left. Then, if there are incremental backups depending on the full and 'retain backup' mode is selected, the full backup will be deleted only after the last incremental is deleted (i.e. after two weeks). As an incremental backup also depends on all other incremental between it and its base full backup, the whole chain will be deleted at the same time as the full.

Ok!
Does this mean I will always get two full backups at any time in my Vault? I got limited space (as everyone else..) - is there a better scheme for me if I want to backup on a daily basis with 4 days retention without keeping to much data?

Example:
Sat 1 - Full backup 10TB
Sun 1 - Inc
Mon 1 - Inc
Tue 1 - Inc
Wen 1 - Inc
Thu 1 - Inc
Fri 1 - Inc

Sat 2 - Full backup XXTB + 10TB (sat 1)
Sun 2 - Inc
Mon 2 - Inc
Tue 2 - Inc
Wen 2 - Inc
Thu 2 - Inc
Fri 2 - Inc

Sat 3 - Full backup YYTB + XXTB (sat 2)
Sun 3 - Inc
Mon 3 - Inc
Tue 3 - Inc
Wen 3 - Inc
Thu 3 - Inc
Fri 3 - Inc

If you use 'custom' scheme then you can set up to perform cleanup when there is insufficient space. In this case it will delete even the only full backup (if is currently creating a full backup according to schedule), but if this backup fails, you will be left with no backups (of this archive) at all.
