Backups Refuse to Delete from inside Managed Vault with GUI

Thread needs solution

I have setup the following:

Acronis 11.7 Build 44190

Management Server
Server 2012R2 Standard
8 Cores
8GB RAM

Storage Server
Server 2012R2 Standard
16 Cores
32GB RAM
D Drive ESX-Based-iSCSI SSD-SAN for DeDupe 512GB
E Drive ESX-Based-iSCSI HDD-SAN for Vault     10TB

The Vault is connected, I can backup, I can restore.  The compression and DeDupe are functioning as expected.  There are no firewalls, hardware or at the Windows level.  I can PXE boot and I can create and complete Scheduled Tasks for backups of VMs and Network Shares.  On one gigabit systems, I get about 870 Mbit of performance, and 10Gig systems go way over that - so things are pretty good here in Acronis Land...except...

What I cannot do is delete anything from the Storage Server, at least from the GUI.

I get the following in the Log:

I am also using the same account to backup and delete from the server so it should not be permissions.

Hello Christopher,

I've never seen a message like this specific to clean-up.

Basically it means we couldn't connect to the necessary process before a time-out. This can happen on backups of very complex environments, but in your case might mean there is some sort of permission or other issue.

I would suggest trying this article to increase the timeout:

https://kb.acronis.com/content/37112

If it still fails with the same message, check out the Windows Event Log after this happens to see if there are any Acroins or other crashes or something like that related to the clean-up attempt.

The storage server has no errors.  The management server however has one instance of the following for each of my attempts to delete an archive:

Hello Christopher,

Unfortunately this issue will require deeper investigation, which is not possible on forum. I would suggest you raising a support ticket.

Thank you,
