Cannot Backup Server HDD

Thread needs solution

Hey, i got a big Problem Backupping my Server HDD.

 

I hope you can speak German because here is the problem:

although I´m a german, I write in english ,-)

Some questions:

Which Tool in which version and build are you using?
Which OS are running on the machines?
Are you using a storage node?
Agent-based or agent-less backup?

I´m using Acronis Backup Advanced (Version 11.5 Update 3) (Build 11.5.38573)

Windows Small Business Server 2011 Standard.

We´re backupping the System HDD to an External HDD every day. But since 1 Month it is not working anymore. 

 

Hmm okay,

this is a rather "old" build from my point of view.

If I understand you right

- all components of ABA are installed on the SBS?
- you have a backup plan that runs daily and uses an external HDD as target?

 

Were there any changes prior to the "stop of working" ?
i.e. updates....new software installations...new hardware....?

Are there any entries in the event log ?

How full is the volume ?

please also check 36200: Acronis Backup: VSS Troubleshooting Guide and 23359: Acronis Backup: Disk Backup with Acronis VSS Provider Fails on Windows SBS and domain controllers as it describes the VSS components and how it works.

Have you tried to reboot the server?

I agree to Svens opinion, something must have changed.
