Can't create backup larger than 4GB on USB thumb drive

Thread needs solution

Acronis Backup 11.7.44421 for Linux Server.

When backing up, software prompts that media is full at 4GB, even when using a 256GB USB thumb drive and to insert new media.

Don't insert new media, click OK at the prompt and the backup will continue till the next 4GB is backed up, then get the prompt again.  Keeps prompting every 4GB of backup till the backup finishes.

Get this prompt when using the USB thumb drive as removable media or as fixed disk, i.e. simplified naming of backup or naming of backup with date and time.

After doing some reading and experimenting this is what I have learned.

The 4GB limit is because the USB thumb drive is formatted with a FAT32 file system.  But, according to the manual, if the Backup Splitting setting is on Automatic, when the file system is FAT32, the backup should be split into 4GB parts until the destination runs out of space.  Only when the destination runs out of space should the task enter Need interaction state.  This is NOT happening.  When the backup first part reaches 4GB, the task enters Need interaction state even though the USB thumb drive is 256GB in size.  This is a bug!

By switching the Backup Splitting setting from Automatic to Manual and setting the size to 3.9GB, the backup procceeded for two parts at 3.9GB before creating a 4GB part and again entering Need interaction state.

Reducing the size to 3.5GB allowed the backup to complete.

One other problem, with Archive Validation turned on and set to occur at the completion of the backup, the task again goes in to Need interaction state.  This time the task requests that the media be inserted.  The media was never removed.  Again this is a bug!
