Catalog recovery
I wanted to restore TIB files to my recreated local vault so I copied them into the folder and ran refresh from the Management Console. Each set of backups (full, differential) was then entered into the catalog as a separate archive so I ran the catalog update. But the resulting data view shows each archive separately as Unknown machine - <name><date>. Worse, when I try to expand the file directory I just get "There are no items to show in this view." below the volume name.
This is despite the Mount volume facility working fine on the tib files directly.
How can I properly restore those TIB files into my catalog?

Hello Alan,
Thank you for your posting! First of all we need to differenciate between the archive view and data view of the vault. The data view shows information from the Data catalog. The Data catalog is designed to simplify recovery. Having created a detailed catalog up to single files you can easily find the required file version in case of recovery. The Archive view just shows information about the archives in the target location, this information is taken from the metadata. So the Data view tab displays all the backed-up data by versions (the date and time of backup creation) within the selected archive location. The Archive view tab displays the backed-up data by the archives. Here you can find more information.
The .meta folder is created during backup in every personal vault. This folder contains additional information about archives and backups stored in the vault, such as archive owners or the machine name. If you accidentally delete the .meta folder, it will be automatically recreated next time you access the vault. But some information, like owner names and machine names, may be lost.
Thank you,
