Creating USB boot using Linux x64 GPT/UEFI

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I want to create a bootable USB drive using the Acronis Bootable media builder, I want to use it on a Windows 8 laptop under GPT/UEFI. Is this possible? The only option I seem to have is creating a ISO or burning a CD. Creating a ISO isn't very useful as I cant find anyway to "burn" the ISO to the USB drive.

I've tried various different methods but none have been successful - I tried RUFUS but it said the ISO didn't support GPT, and I tried diskpart, and copying the contents of the ISO onto the new FAT32 partition but that didn't work either...gave me unbootable disk error.

Thank you!

Hello Charles,

using Acronis Bootable Media Builder you can burn a bootable media directly to USB flash drive.

Please find here the guide.

Thank you.
