Detecting LSI raid array instead of Intel isw mirror

Thread needs solution

Hi all,

I want to backup a customers PC. It is an Intel software raid "isw" mirror in RAID1 configuration (2 disks) but Acronis bootable media is not detecting the correct raid volume.

At the Acronis console while booting from bootable media you can see following:

/dev/sdb: "isw" and "ddf1" formats discovered (using ddf1)!
/dev/sda: "isw" and "ddf1" formats discovered (using ddf1)!

It seems to be an old LSI array was detected, but is is not active.

Is it possible to force Acronis to detect the isw array?

(Have an SysinfoOutput on request)

Best regards

Hi Raphael,

The issue may occur because of some RAID misconfiguration. I would suggest to reconfigure the software RAID from BIOS settings. The configuration steps depend on the BIOS, if you have any doubts about this procedure, please refer to the Hardware vendor documentation. After that try the bootable media with latest build 43916.

I would also suggest using the WinPE-media with predefined drivers for the proper RAID detection.

Thank you!
