Duplicate names in "All machines with agents"

Thread needs solution

Just noticed that I have some duplicate names when viewed in the Management Console "All machines wuith agents". One is greyed out and one is highlighted as though the computer is powered on. Found this strange so was going to delete the greyed out duplicate, but get a confirmation dialog box saying:

"You are about to delete the selected machine from Acronis Backup Management Server. All centralized backup plans will be removed from the machine.

Are you sure you want to continue?"

Then there is a Yes or No choice.

My question is, if I delete the greyed out duplicate computer, does that affect the backups/license/taks, etc., of the computer that isn't greyed out?

Not sure why there are duplicate names in the list.

Tried to verify if there were maybe 2 licenses being used up because there is a duplicate hostname, but can't tell. There is no way to do a report that shows hostname and the license being used.

Hello Firewalker96,

Thank you for your posting! Unfortunately there is no such report (the information on the license usage is only available in the License Server) , but you won't need this information for the troubleshooting. I would suggest running the following script on the machine where Acronis Management Server is installed.

Troubleshooting Script for Acronis Management Server execute the script with the parameter -fix:all. It should remove the ghost entries from the database.

Looking forward for results.

Thanks for the response. I ran the script on the server with the -fix:all parameter and it said it fixed the errors. It says that it checked and fixed the orphan entries, but when I log back into the management console, the duplicate names are still there.

Just to clarify. When I check the name on the License Server, there is only one license being used by the computer. But when I log into the Management Console and look at the All Machines with Agents on the left side, there are computer names that show up twice. I don't know if during an upgrade of the software it somehow created a second entry of the computername, or however it happened. But one entry is greyed out and the second entry shows that it's an online computer. I want to get rid of the greyed out entry without it affecting the active online computer.

The issue is probably caused by the incorrect information in the AMS (Acronis Management Server) database. As the possible solutions I'd suggest

If the issue perists, please contact our support team for indepth investigation.

Thank you,

Just noticed another issue. When I log into the management console and click on licenses, it shows that all my licenses are used up. But I just had an issue with a computer that has Acronis installed, and when I do a search in the licenses in the management console, the computer shows that a license is being used. But when I go to the All Machines with Agents, the computer doesn't show up even though Acronis is installed on the computer. Not sure how many other computers are similar.

Is there a way to get a report that lists all the computers with Agents installed and a report that lists all the license keys being used by which computer? That way I can sort to see what the differences are between the licenses being used and which computers have agents installed to see why there are differences.

Also, why is XML the only report format that can be exported to? Why wouldn't there be an Excel export? Finding these issues would be so much easier in Excel because XML is a horrible report format for an end user to understand.
