eMail Notification socket error

Thread needs solution

Hi,

we've got 20 Acronis Backup clients running and since April 6th no one of them is sending email notifications anymore. When I try to send a test mail I get the socket error as described here: https://kb.acronis.com/content/27103. Telnet seems to be able to create a connection.

I already contacted our hosting provider but nothing has changed there. Additionally we've a second backup tool to backup the user files separately. This tool sends out mails any time to the same mailbox. So the problem is definitely at Acronis.

What can we do?

Thanks.

Hi Matthias,

Thank you for your posting! Please refer to the following topic

Thank you!

Hi,

thanks for your reply. The problem is solved meanwhile by calling our email provider and forcing an IPv4 connection. Maybe our ISP changed something in his routing, so the IPv6 connection didn't work between Acronis Backup Client and the SMTP server.

Best regards.
