Fail to boot Windows 7 after recovery to new SSD
Hello,
The case is that a custumer bought a new Acer laptop and wanted to go from 500GB HDD to 128 SSD (Because of speed). He doesn't have more data than 128GB so the space should not be a problem, and Acronis doesn't give me any error when recovering.
After the recovery the machine try to boot, but it stops at a message "0XC0000225" and "Windows could not find bootable media".
But if I press "Enter" twice it would start booting Windows.
Obviously I can't give the customer the PC and say "Press enter twice and you are all good!".
I have tried to set C: Acer disk to "Active" under the recovery with no help.
I use the latest 11.5 package with Linux boot.
We ended up with installing Windows from DVD and have now lost the recovery partions etc.. But needed to delivere the PC fast.
The reason I ask for help is to maybe to not stumble on to this problem next time I need to do this again.
Acronis have never failed me before so this is all new too me.
Btw. Sorry for my bad english.
Anyone have a solution to the problem?
