Failed Backup

Thread needs solution

Occasionally our manual backup to an external powered usb drive fails. The following is the error we get. Knowledge base is not much help. Any ideas?

Hello Beau,

This error means that the backup process (service_process.exe) was forcefully interrupted during backup. For example, if you reboot the machine during backup or if the process crashed.

You can check the Windows Event Logs (application) after you receive this error to see if there was a crash. A crash is usually caused by conflict with third party software (anti-virus, other low-level disk software etc.).

In this case, I would suggest updating the product to the latest version as your current version (32256) is quite old and a number of conflicts were resolved in the meantime.

Roger, will do. When I run a check for update from the help menu it says I have the latest version. Am I missing something?
