Full Disk Image TIBs: multiple files

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I'm looking at the storage where our company stores the FDIs.

Most of them are single TIB + xml + log files.

Some of them thou are multiple TIB files finishing slightly differently, for ex: *_499D1.TIB, *_499D2.TIB and so on.

What kind of fileas are these? Why are they split in multiple files? Can part of them be deleted?

Thank you
L

Hello EOSguy,
Most likely, the backup operation was interrupted and then resumed as a result of automatic retries. In this case, a backup is split into two or more TIB files that together make a recovery point. You can check this assumption by looking at the log and the recovery points. Other reasons of splitting are described here: http://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/AcronisBackup_11.5/i…
Anyway, do not delete backup files by using a file manager since this may corrupt the entire archive. All operations with backups should be done via Acronis interface.
