Help with license count & costs

Thread needs solution

Hi All,

Looking to replace our current solution with Acronis. I'm confused as to the licensing model. If someone could help? What licences do I need and how much will it cost for each site.

We have two sites,

Site 1: Three physical servers, single tape drive. (Windows Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Windows File server)

Site 2: Three VM hosts (Running 6 Vm's in total), three physical standalone servers. 2x Windows Active Driectory, 2x Exchange, 2xSQL and  a few file servers) Using tape storage.

Thanks.

Hello sysadmin25,

Welcome to Acronis user forums! I'd suggest considering the following constellation:

Site 1: Acronis Backup Advanced 11.7 for Active Directory 1x, Acronis Backup Advanced 11.7 for Exchange 1x, Acronis Backup Advanced 11.7 for Windows 1x

Site 2: Depending on the hypervisor type

Acronis Backup Advanced 11.7 for VMware 3x or Acronis Backup Advanced 11.7 for Hyper-V 3x, if you have a mixed environment or are going to migrate your data to the different hypervisor, I'd recommend Acronis Backup Advanced 11.7 Universal License, that can be installed on any supported by Acronis virtual platform. All Virtual licenses will allow you to protect all virtual machines on the selected host + the physical host itself. You'll be also able to install all Agents for applications (SQL, Exchange and Active Directory) into virtual machines without additional licenses.

Since you're interested in backing up to a tape device, I do not offer you Acronis Backup 12. The tape support will be introduced only in the Acronis Backup 12 Advanced, which is not available yet.

Thank you,
