How to adjust the Archive "disk full" threshold

Thread needs solution

I'm backing up to an external drive. The drive is 2 TB and has 1.5 TB of data, or 75% full, leaving 500GB free. I've told Acronis to delete backups older than 15 days.

The Acronis backup failed because it said "the drive was full". My backups average 50GB daily, so there is room for as much as 10 more backups. I realize we don't want to fill up the disc completely, but I'd be comfortable going to 90% full.

Where can I tell Acronis to raise the threshold before considering the disk to be full? I've looked at all the options, but I don't see anything.

If you use incremental backups (or you have the only one full backup, other begin incremental or differential) and the full backup is larger than amount of free space, cleanup will fail because it creates new full backup first and then deletes the exising one. You can also use 'simplified naming' scheme, it deletes the old full backup before creating the new one,  but it may leave you without backups at all if it fails to create the new backup.
