How to solve backup on two changing hard disks

Thread needs solution

Hello,

is it possible to get a solution for the following scenario:

- Small Business Server 2011 with Acronis Backup and about 2 TB of data

- a possibility to exchange regular SATA hard disks with 5 disks (3 TB each)

Can I perform a backup with full and differential or incremental backups to the 5 disks? They are recognized not as exchangable drives but as real hard drives.

Can that be solved? I have the German version and hope, that I could correctly explain the scenario.

Thank you in advance and best regards,

Frank

Hello Frank,

Thank you for your posting! I would recommend you to create a separate backup plan for every target disk. This will allow you to store version chains (full + diff or incr) and use the standard retention rules. Backing up to changing disks within single backup plan imposes several limitations. All supported scenarios and detailed information you will find here: https://kb.acronis.com/content/47954

And here the link to the docu in German

Thank you,
