How to Upgrade after installing Windows 10
Hi, I have a dilemma!
I currently use Acronis Backup & Recovery Workstation 10.5 on Windows 7, however, I'm looking to take advantage of the free upgrade to Windows 10. As you probably know, this will require me to upgrade to Acronis Backup 11.7 as 10.5 isn't compatible with Windows 10.
My plan is to perform a clean install of Windows 10 alongside my existing Windows 7 to allow me to dual boot. I can then continue to use Windows 7 for work, while installing programs/drivers and checking the new Windows 10 install is working okay. Once I'm happy with the Windows 10 install I will stop using Windows 7.
My issue that I would like to take advantage of the £39 upgrade cost from Acronis 10.5 to 11.7, rather than paying £59 for a new copy of Acronis Backup 11.7. But how do I do this?
If I go for an "upgrade", does that allow me to do a clean install of Acronis 11.7 or must I upgrade an existing 10.5 i.e. install over the top? Obviously, my new copy of Windows 10 will not have any Acronis software installed as I'm unable to install 10.5 against it, so can't therefore perform an in-place "upgrade" to 11.7.
I would appreciate your guidance on the best way to perform my "upgrade".
