Install Acronis Software on the Same Server Will Be Restored

Thread needs solution

I have a server on the internet from a hosting company (Dedicated). There is lots of system on the server (Web sites, Document Management System, Databases, DNS Server, Mail Server etc.)

I want to take disk image backup on some other location in any case if my server fails.

There is only one server so i need second location to put my backup. It can be Acronis Online storage, maybe a FTP location but i prefer my rapid account becaouse they have RapidDrive service and i can use it like a Mapped Disk.

I have only panel access and Remote Desktop Connection Access to my server. If my server fails that means i cannot connect to my server via Remote Desktop Connection. I can order Automatic system installation from my panel but not other option.

So if i use acronis software i can take scheduled disk image on my RapidDrive. If my server fails i can re-install my operating system automaticly then what? how can i restore that backup image to the same server acronis software is working on. Did you got my point?

I have to install acronis software on the same server will be restored.

I'm not sure about backing up to a location that is represented as a mapped drive in the system - Backup&Recovery can't backup to mapped drives. FTP is ok. Recover of the system in the way you describe is possible - you get a new clean server, install Backup & Recovery on it, configure restore task, then it reboots to a environment like a bootabe 'rescue CD' whose image is stored on the hard disk, similar to ASRM ( http://www.acronis.com/support/documentation/ABR11.5/index.html#546.htm… ), it performs recovery if it can find the backup files (so here mapped drives are totally out of question, but FTP is ok)

hi, thanks for answer. it would solve my problem except one thing that i should press f11 after restarting my machine to boot with acronis but i can't. because my machine is dedicated hosting machine on the internet and i don't console access, i have only rdp access.

Is there any way i can do it automatically? i mean if i want to restore my partition before restarting machine i can given an order some how then it could restore automatically.

If you configure recover task from Windows you don't have to press F11. It reboots to ASRM-like environment automatically if reboot is required (as it is in case of system volume restore) and after restore (if it was successful) reboots to restored system.
