Installing agent on Windows 7 64-bit machine

Thread needs solution

I recently upgraded a machine to Wondows 7 64-bit. I now need to install the ACronis backup agent on this machien so I can put it into the schedule. However, when ever I attempt to connect from the console for installation, I always get:

Code: 11,141,166(0x00AA002E)
LineInfo: 0x802D2FBEA049DA46;

Module: remote_install_wizard_vs_37687
Message: Access is denied. The possible reasons:
* - The specified user is not an administrator.
* - User Account Control (UAC) is enabled.

The user is definitely an administrator and I have turned off UAC. Does anyone have any suggestions for installing the agents?

thank you

What happens if you copy the full Acronis installation files to the Win7 machine and just install the agent ( instead of trying to push the agent across )?

Hello Ken Dillinger,

Thank you for posting this question in our forum. I am happy to assist you.

Please find all recommended information about remote installation in our Web Help and this article from our knowledge base.

As a workaround, you can install the components local, as mentioned from Bill Unger.

If you need additional assistance, please create a system report of the affected machine and contact support. You will find all available support options in our Customer handbook.

If there is anything else we can do for you, please let me know.

Thank you.
