Keyboard Navigation of the Acronis Backup and Recovery dialogs screens in WINPE Enviroment
Hi,
I've had a chat with an Acronis support rep who tells me that they've never come across my problem (which I find hard to believe) so any advice from the forum contributors would be most appreciated in order to help me resolve.
I have successfully created a WINPE bootable USB drive with the Acronis Backup(Recovery) agent on there and have successfully backed up the C: drive and EFI partition of a Windows 10 x 64 Elitepad 1000 to a separate USB thumb drive. Navigating the Acronis Backup dialog in the WINPE environment was tricky but I managed to do this.
I have now attempted to deployed the backed-up images to another (WIN 8.1) Elitepad 1000 but on the "Recover Data | Select Data to Recover" dialog in the WINPE environment, I can see the Volumes that I wish to check and restore in the "Backup Contents" pane but I find I simply cannot navigate to this pane using Tab or otherwise in order to check the required volumes (and even if I could, would Space work to check the boxes, I have my doubts?).
My chat rep ended up telling me that I would have to identify and inject touch drivers into the WINPE drive during creation etc but before I go off researching how to do this, can anybody confirm definitively that it will not be possible for me to progress the restore process using keyboard only input? Symantec System Restore has other issues but full navigation via keyboard only in the recovery environment was not one of them.
A workaround would be great if possible.
EDit: Please note tablet device only, so no pointer available so the document re enabling mouse/pointer cursor keys is not applicable.
Thanks in hope,
Orson.
