lck file wouldn't be deleted after backup

Thread needs solution

Hello Support Engineers

I recently performed system backup using ABR for Linux.

Destination for backup data was nfs shared disk.

Acronis GUI said backup finished normally, so i tried to unmount

nfs share but i couldn't since device was busy.

I tried "fuser" command to identify which process using which file.

The command said ***.lck file on the backup folder was used by

/usr/lib/Acronis/BackupAndRecovery/service_process .

I waited about 15 minites, then lck file was deleted and i could

unmout the shared directory.

My questions are

Q1 Does Acronis (service_process) do something after GUI's backup

    status become complete?

Q2 If answer for Q1 is yes. Taking 15 mitutes for the post backup task

     is normal?

Q3 Does something corrupt if i umount directory by force? (Disconnect

     service_process from lck file)

Thank you.

Hello,

Most likely, this was a cataloging task that ran after the backup.

I would not recommend forcing a dismount. If you don't need the catalog (used for searching for files only) you can disable it as described in our documentation. http://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/AcronisBackup_11.5/#…
