Linux Agent & Windows Management Console

Thread needs solution

Hi All,

This maybe a silly question but I having been trying to add a linux server to my Windows Management Server. The agaen is install and kernel module is working.

I can connect to the linux local management console (from the windows management console) with out now issue, so all seems well

However, I am unable to to add the linux server to the Advandced Management Console so I can manage the backup plan & place on the storage node.

If I run the adding to a manament console from the linux install, it fails, it does say that the install has detected a firewall on the install, this is not the case, iptables is empty and selinux is disabled. If I try adding the linux server to the advanced management console in windows using the "root" user to connect, it reports the credentials were not vaild.

I have gone through the install serveral times and it is driving me mad!!! Can I add linux agent servers to a windows advanced management console?

Regards

George

Hello George Bruce,

Thank you for posting this problem in our forum. I am happy to assist you.

If you cannot add the Linux machine to the Acronis Management Server, than I suggest to connect first to the Linux agent. Go to Options -> Machine options -> Machine management and change there from local management to centralized management. Specify the user name and password of the management server administrator on prompt (use the format 'domain\user'). Find more information in the user guide section.

If you need additional assistance, please create a system report of the affected machine and contact support. You will find all available support options in our Customer handbook.

If there is anything else we can do for you, please let me know.

Thank you.
