Load NIC Drivers in 11.5 WinPE Disc?

Thread needs solution

Is this possible, or does it only load storage drivers?

In our testing, it does not work. Creating the media on an hp 6200 with win7 x64, and booting on a z230 with an intel i217-lm onboard nic. I've seen there's some posts about this card in the snap deploy forum with no resolutions.

Hello Justin,

Thank you for your posting! Unfortunately it's not possible to give any valuable solution of this issue without investigation. Please contact our Support Team.

Thank you,

Its a simple yes or no question: either the feature was intended to only add storage Drivers, or it will also load Nic Drivers.

In my testing loading Drivers other than storage does not work on the Windows PE disc created by acronis backup 11.5. This is more of a general information question rather than a specific issue. Thank you for responding, though.

Hello Justin,

Could you precise (or attach screenshots), are you adding drivers during media creation or after the media has been created? In general we support all drivers with *.inf, *.sys or *.oem extensions. If you download the drivers in the *.exe, *.cab or *.zip format, extract them using a third-party application. The procedure of adding drivers to the WinPE image is described here under point 7. If you follow these instructions and drivers have proper format, but the issue still persists, it should be investigated.

Thank you,
