Marked for deletion. No operations can be done.

Thread needs solution

Hi,

Recently someone in the IT team deleted some acronis backups via windows browser and now I can't delete those from the acronis console, they are being showed as "marked for deletion. No operation can be performed on the backup.", is there anything I can do to delete those from the log. Please see image below: http://i860.photobucket.com/albums/ab165/cortega26/Acronis.png

Thanks in advance for your attention and help.

Hello COS_AN,

Thank you for your posting! If you want to remove "Marked for deletion" marks from backups, follow these instructions:

The information about backups archives of centralized managed vault is stored on Acronis Storage Node in the vault database .fdb. We can re-create this databased and all marks will be removed.

! Please make sure you copy the .fdb file to some other place prior deletion !

  • Detach vault containing backups marked for deletion.
  • Remove .fdb file from the vault folder if detach generated it.
  • Attach the vault.

Solution 2 from the following article

The atabase will be re-indexed and there will be no backups marked for deletion.
WARNING: the steps above will unmark ALL backups marked for deletion.

If backups have been deleted physically and now you want to remove all traces from the vault view, it should be enough to run re-index of the vault. The information about vault contents will be refreshed then.

Thank you,
