Missing drivers in Bootable media

Thread needs solution

I have new Dells with i219-LM Intel NIC's. These drivers are not included in the bootable media in the latest version 11.7.44421. Adding the drivers manually to the bootable creator apparently does not work for  NIC's.

Please add these drivers to your next build please. Also insure that the i210 NIC drivers are also included.

Hello,

It is not possible for users to add drivers directly to the default Linux media because they generally have to be compiled for a specific kernel. Since we use our own Acronis Linux distro for the bootable medias, you will not find any pre-compiled Linux drivers to add to the media. All of these are created and updated by our Linux development team.

This means that, when creating the default Linux bootable media, the "add drivers" functionality is actually used for Universal Restore functionality (these drivers are injected into the target system during restore).

That said, it is possible to add Windows drivers to a WinPE media, and this should always work provided the drivers correspond to the WinPE version being created. Have you tried this?

If you want to have a Linux media with these drivers as soon as possible, please create a support ticket so that this can be escalated to our Linux development team.
