New Flash Drives are Fixed Disks?

Thread needs solution

We just bought a few new Sandisk Cruzer Blade 32gb flash drives. My company likes to use flash drives to make them bootable with the media builder and to store our backup images on them for easy replication. But it looks like due to some obscure Microsoft Certification for Windows 8, manufacturers are supposed to make their usb flash drives mount as FIXED disk not REMOVABLE... This is a problem that I'm now seeing in the MediaBuilder; where it will not recognize these new drives... So bootable media cannot be created the bootable image on them...

Does anyone know if there is a way around this?

I have the same problem... I juste received 2 Sandisk Cruzer Blade 16gb and I'll return to my seller and ban this brand from my list. They should have done an utility to convert the keys into "removable drive" ...
