No Data are been backuped...

Thread needs solution

Hi

I downloaded a trial Version of Back & Recovery Server, and installed it on a Windows 2008 Server STandart, 64x R1, when i try to do a backup from the drivee C, it starts but no data transfer, so i stopped the task (which doens't stop itself), and tried with a external Harddrive on USB to try it, the result was just the same, process starts, but no bit of Data is transfered also after 10 or 20 mins....Does somebody has an idea what that can be? I have an older Version of True Image Server 9, this works fine network and also local external Harddisks...I dont want to spend money on a version i am not able to use..

Thanks for any support

Hello uridium69,

Thank you for posting this question in our forum.

If the backup job does not start to write, you can check the displayed progress bar. At around 20% of this progress the Volume Shadow Copy Snapshot is done. You should find an error in logs. Just click on logs -> change from activities to events and doubleklick on the first entry with an red X. There you will see the real problem, why the backup does not begin to write. Find more information about this step in this article from our knowledge base

If there is no error event to see, it is possible that you did not wait long enough before stopping the task manually.

If you need additional assistance, you can contact support. You will find all available support options in our Customer handbook.

If there is anything else we can do for you, please let me know.

Thank you.
