No network connection on restore/winpe

Thread needs solution

Using the Acronis Backup and restore for servers, I am unable to run a restore.

Windows 2008 R2, Intel Server

I created a backup to a NAS.

I created the bootable USB

To test the restore, I booted up the server, got the Acronis restore screen

Went to browse vaults and Acronis/WinPE won’t connect to the network to access the vault where the backups are stored.

I get a message connecting and then nothing happens

I switched to the DOS window and I cannot ping the server or the NAS DOS screen shows transmit failed. General Failure

The Network driver was installed creating the boot image, and I did it again from the tools menu.

No error messages or log entries

Hello Michael Condon,

Thank you for posting this question in our forum. I am happy to assist you.

If you cannot access the network while booting Windows based PE media, please ensure, that your drivers for the NIC is a 32bit driver. This driver needs to be unpacked and must provide files like .inf, .oem, .dll, .sys etc. If you try to provide .cab, .zip or .exe files, no driver will be loaded. See this article from our knowledge base.

Is a Linux based bootable media working in your environment? What happens, if using this kind of bootable media?
