Number of backups in the archive exceeds...

Hello,

I backup my windows server to a nas.

friday a full backup, mo-thu incremental backup.

this all works.

I only want one Full backup on the nas.  So on Friday after the Full backup has succeeded I want to delete the previous full and incremental backups.

 

What is the easiest way to do this?

I thought a retention rule and set the 'number of backups in the archive exceeds' to 1 ?

It will work, but check that in 'advanced' section  the radiobutton 'retain backups until dependent are subject to deletion' is selected and not 'consolidate' backups, or else cleanup will run after daily incremental backups.
