Password for Management Console

Thread needs solution

Hi! i have question.

Now I installed Acronis in Domain Network.

And I installed server in administrator account.
Also Installed clients to all administrator account to centralized managing.

It asked me password only first time after I installed when I connect to management console through management console.

I want it to ask me password every time when I connect management server through management console.

I unchecked the save credential on console option also.

Please help me.

Hello Eungkee,

Thank you for your posting! Please delete the contents of HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Acronis\CredStorage and make sure, that the option "Credentials cache" is disabled.

Thank you,

Hello,

I did it what you said.

But It's not working.

Still connect to Management Server directly without asking account and password.

Please reply me.

Thank you.

Password is always remembered for recent connections regardless of 'remember password' option. It can be avoided only if you prohibit remembering recent connection at all, e.g. removing all permissions from HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Acronis\BackupAndRecoveryConsole\Settings\RecentConnections registry key.

I also removed contents of "KEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Acronis\BackupAndRecoveryConsole\Settings\RecentConnections"

That doesn't effect anything also.

should I have to remove "KEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Acronis\BackupAndRecoveryConsole\Settings\RecentConnections" it self?

Still it is not asking account nor password.

Most likely it connects using SSO under the account you logged on to the machine with console.

Actually I don't use SSO, thiugh I use only one account Administrator of domain.
Is there any solution this?

I can only suggest to open the support ticket about it.

Btw, you mentioned that you deleted RecentConnection registry branch - I suggested not this, but changing its permission - click 'permission' in its properties then 'advanced' and uncheck 'allow inheritable permissions' checkbox and answer 'remove' in appeared dialog. This way new recent connections won't be remembered.
