PxE not accepting drivers / PxE not working properly
Hey togethere,
we are currently evaluation the Acronis Backup 11.5 Solution for imaging our different computers.
We installed the Server on a virtual machine and got everything running.
Storage node is configured and the space for the images is enough.
But as soon as I try to install any drivers to the PxE image and try to boot from it, there are two different ways what could happen:
Example 1:
Workstations tries to boot into Acronis and there comes a Microsoft Error message, that the Installation Process could not be opened and I should insert the correct Boot medium.
Example 2:
Workstations manages to boot into Acronis WinPE Environment, but all the drivers I added (Network) are not working. So it seems that there is no network card installed in the computer.
I'm creating the PxE Image with the Acronis Boot Media Builder. Selecting Windows PE Environment and I installed the WAIK for Win 8.1 on the Server so the correct WinPE Session could be build.
I have the current version of Backup Server 11.5 installed and all the updates acording the server (Server 2012 R2).
What am I missing here?

Hello,
trying to boot from the Linux Boot Media is not the thing, that is helping me, because I need the actual drivers for some Gigabyte Motherboards.
As soon as I try to boot from the linux media everything seems fine except the actual drivers being not included.
The Hardware differs within most of our machines. We are currently using around 8 differnent models of Computers, so the LAN-Driver is not the same for every model.
I'm adding the Drivers for the Intel Gigabit I219-V LM LAN Connection.
When I follow all the steps provided in your Link the problem consists in only showing "WinPE" as boot Media, which does not load anything.
Regards,
Christoph

Hello Christoph,
Your scenario is not quite clear.
Why do you need to include the actual drivers? Is this for injecting these drivers during restore? Something else?
Also, what is the PCI ID for the NIC on this machine and what driver file are you including?
