Recovery question MBR check, NT sig check, recover system reserved check, Recover NTFS C: NOT CHECK. :(

Thread needs solution

Sometimes restoring to a drive is a snap, find the backup you want to restore, select your options similar to above, and its a done deal.. MOST of the time lately, I get to the last step, to recover ntfs c to: and that option is greyed out... I can try a volume restore, disk restore, all with the same result. I can try it with bigger and smaller drives, or with a partitioned, partitioned and formatted, or unpartitioned drive with the same result.. WHAT THE HECK AM I MISSING? UGH! :)

In case of disk restore it doesn't offer you to select where to recover separate volumes, only entire disk. Can you post a screenshot?

Ok, the error sequence I quoted was from abr10, but heres the cap from 11.5 adv ws.. It gives a better clue, but I`m still not sure how to proceed, and losing patience with all the errors I`ve been having with acronis lately

Eric,

How do you expect to recover a 558GB partition to a 75GB drive?

It looks like volume was backed up in sector-by-sector mode. What is free space displayed in volume's properties in recover dialog? If it's zero, it may be caused by sector-by-sector mode, which may be caused by filesystem errors on source volume.

Its 465 gig volume, with about 50 gig of data on it, that I want to back up to a 75 gig drive to verify the backup/restore is functional before I wipe the system. I will check sfc for errors and double check to see if sector by sector was the problem. Dont think it was though/cuz the compressed backup is only around 50 gig? Maybe I`m assuming wrong there...
