Remove Marked for Deletion flag

Thread needs solution

Is it possible to remove the flag from archives marked for deletion with the trashcan icon? I moved my centralized vaults from one server to another. When I reattached the vault, all jobs are marked with the trashcan icon. I need to preserve the archives in this vault indefinitely. How can I remove the delete flag so these archives can be preserved? I detached the vault again so that no files can be removed.

Hello Joseph Savastano,

Thank you for posting this question in our forum.

I suggest to export the backup archives from Management Console. You will find more information about in the online help. This backups are not managed with retention rules and can be stored as you want.

If you need additional assistance, you can contact support. You will find all available support options in our Customer handbook.

If there is anything else we can do for you, please let me know.

Thank you.

Hello Joseph,

Thank you for posting.

In addition to Peter's solution I would like to offer you the following workaround to keep your backup files from deletion using managed centralized vaults.
When you detach the centralized managed vault from ABR 11.5, an .fdb file will be created in this folder.
Once you delete the file, when re-attaching the vault, the vault will be re-created and the backups will no longer be marked for deletion.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.

Estimates, both approaches are not the most optimal possible. Within each vault there is a metadata file (.Xml) for each backup job. Unlink or Delete (keeping backups) the corresponding vault. Then edit the xml file. In that file there is a field called . Edit it to 0. Then mount or recreate the vault and the flag of "marked for deletion" its gone
