Restoring Multiple TIB Files to a single drive on a single system

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I do car diagnostics and have a number of identical laptops at home all with individual operating systems on each one (all xp sp3) with a different one for each type of software, ie one laptop for Ford, one for Saab etc.

I have taken drive images of these and can restore them successfully to another machine if required, but what I was wondering, is if I could somehow restore multiple acronis .tib images to one hard drive and somehow make a multi boot.

I really hope that makes sense, it would make my life 10 times easier if I could.

Many thanks

Yes. Assuming each install has the only - system partition - you can create a partition for each one, restore each tib in partition (volume) mode on a corresponding partition, select one of them active and edit boot.ini on this partition to include information about others.
If four primary partitions are not enough, you need to create 3 primary and the rest will be logical drives in the extended partition.
